Karen Hickey is Director of Nest Feathers and this project is very close to her heart.

The residents at the Downtown Women’s Center are formally homeless women who are now making the DWC their home. They will be making a move to a new facility this December which will be quite unsettling for many of the women. Nest Feathers mission is to make their new home as welcoming and comfortable as possible.

Project Home is a 67,000 square foot building which includes 72 residential units, a Day Center and a Medical & Mental Health Clinic for the homeless women of Los Angeles’ Skid Row.
One major aspect of the Interior Design services is to acquire furniture at no cost to the Center.
