Los Angeles Downtown Women’s Shelter and Project Home
The Downtown Women’s Center has provided services to homeless women for 30 years, and their new 67,000 sq. ft. facility, Project Home, expands their day center and permanent residential services. The doors will open in Spring of 2010. Nest Feathers will design and furnish the new facility including 71 permanent housing apartments, the day center and dining room, offices, and educational facilities. Nest Feathers’ volunteers will provide a welcoming and safe environment for the women who call DWC home, the 100+ women visiting the day center daily and DWC’s wonderful staff.
